In a commanding performance, the Atlanta Falcons topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 41-14 in Week 16 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. With both teams vying for positioning, Atlanta's dominance on both sides of the ball proved decisive. Michael Penix Jr. led the Falcons with two touchdown passes, while Bijan Robinson nearly reached the century mark with 99 rushing yards, showcasing a potent ground game. Baker Mayfield attempted to keep pace for Tampa Bay, throwing for 218 yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Atlanta's offensive firepower. Emeka Egbuka stood out for the Buccaneers, racking up 89 receiving yards in a losing effort. Defensively, the Falcons made their mark with Jalon Walker contributing a key sack and Mike Hughes snagging an interception, helping to stifle Tampa Bay's offensive rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Penix Jr. connected on a touchdown pass that extended Atlanta's lead, shifting momentum firmly in their favor. Tampa Bay struggled to recover from that blow, ultimately succumbing to the Falcons' relentless attack.
