In a commanding season opener, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Green Bay Packers 34-7, showcasing their dominance right out of the gate in Week 1 of the 2027 season. The victory sets a strong tone for the Chiefs as they aim to reclaim their position as a powerhouse in the league. Patrick Mahomes was the star of the show, throwing for 259 yards and three touchdowns, proving once again why he’s one of the league’s elite quarterbacks. His favorite target, Xavier Worthy, had a stellar performance with 136 receiving yards, while Kenneth Walker added valuable ground support with 71 rushing yards, creating a well-rounded offensive attack that kept the Packers on their heels. Defensively, the Chiefs made their mark with George Karlaftis recording 1.5 sacks and Jadon Canady snagging an interception to stifle any hopes of a Green Bay comeback. The turning point came early in the second half when Canady's interception halted a promising Packers drive, allowing Kansas City to extend their lead and ultimately seal the victory with authority.
