In a commanding performance, the Denver Broncos defeated the Washington Commanders 35-13 in Week 9 of the 2027 season. With playoff implications on the line, Denver solidified their position in the race while Washington struggled to find their footing. Bo Nix led the charge for the Broncos, throwing for 237 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to move the ball effectively downfield. RJ Harvey was a force on the ground, racking up 105 rushing yards, while Jaylen Waddle made explosive plays in the passing game, finishing with 118 receiving yards. The offensive cohesion was evident, as the Broncos executed their game plan flawlessly throughout the match. On defense, the Broncos made key plays that shifted the momentum of the game, most notably with Max Traylor’s two sacks disrupting Washington's offensive rhythm. While Mike Sainristil of the Commanders stood out with nine tackles and two interceptions, his efforts weren't enough to contain Denver's prolific offense. The turning point came in the second quarter when a crucial interception by Sainristil was nullified by Traylor's relentless pressure, allowing the Broncos to maintain control and ultimately seal the victory.
