In a high-scoring showdown, the New England Patriots topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 59-41 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. This victory not only boosts the Patriots' momentum but also solidifies their position as contenders in the league early this year. Both teams showcased explosive offensive potential, but New England ultimately prevailed. Drake Maye was the standout performer for the Patriots, throwing for an impressive 351 yards and four touchdowns, leading his team with precision and poise. Kayshon Boutte contributed significantly as well, racking up 96 receiving yards, while the Jaguars' Bhayshul Tuten put on a spectacular show with 213 rushing yards, keeping Jacksonville competitive throughout the game. On the defensive side, Christian Elliss shined for New England with two interceptions, crucial in turning the tide in favor of the Patriots. The game's turning point came in the second half when Elliss's second pick set up a quick touchdown, allowing New England to pull ahead and maintain control. Despite strong efforts from Jacksonville's Josh Hines-Allen, who recorded two sacks, the Patriots' defense made the key plays when it mattered most.
