In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions topped the New York Jets 44-13 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. With this victory, the Lions not only improved their record but also sent a strong message to the league about their offensive prowess and defensive resilience. Jared Goff was the standout on offense, throwing for 198 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers effectively. Isiah Pacheco complemented the air attack with a dominant ground game, racking up 125 rushing yards and keeping the Jets' defense on its heels. Despite the loss, Kenyon Sadiq shone for New York, accumulating 117 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide. Defensively, the Lions were relentless, with Brian Branch making a significant impact by snatching two interceptions. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Branch's first pick set up a quick touchdown, allowing Detroit to extend their lead and dictate the tempo of the game. The Jets struggled to respond, and the Lions capitalized on their mistakes, leading to a lopsided victory.
