In a thrilling matchup in Week 2 of the 2026 season, the Dallas Cowboys narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders with a final score of 27-21. Both teams were looking to establish momentum early in the season, but it was Dallas that emerged victorious in this tightly contested battle. Dak Prescott was the standout performer for the Cowboys, throwing for 280 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers under pressure. CeeDee Lamb was a key target, racking up 114 receiving yards, while Javonte Williams contributed significantly on the ground with 73 rushing yards, helping Dallas maintain a balanced offensive attack throughout the game. On the defensive side, Cobie Durant's interception proved crucial, stifling a potential scoring drive for Washington and shifting the momentum back to the Cowboys.
