The Denver Broncos topped the Kansas City Chiefs 31-16 in a decisive Week 18 showdown that solidified their playoff positioning. With both teams vying for crucial momentum heading into the postseason, the Broncos delivered a strong performance to close out the regular season on a high note. Quarterback Bo Nix shone brightly for the Broncos, throwing for two touchdowns and steering the offense with poise. Meanwhile, Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes put up impressive numbers with 319 passing yards, but struggled to convert those yards into points, while Rashee Rice emerged as a standout receiver, racking up 131 yards. Kenneth Walker contributed on the ground for the Chiefs, but his 49 rushing yards were not enough to tip the scales. Defensively, L'Jarius Sneed led the charge for the Broncos with nine total tackles and an interception, significantly impacting Kansas City's offensive rhythm. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Sneed's interception halted a promising Chiefs drive, allowing the Broncos to capitalize and extend their lead. With Zach Allen also contributing a sack, the Denver defense proved its mettle, ultimately sealing the victory and sending a clear message ahead of the playoffs.
