In a tightly contested matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the Green Bay Packers 24-17 in Week 18 of the 2026 season. Both teams were vying for playoff positioning, making this game a critical showdown in the NFC North. The Lions managed to secure the victory, solidifying their postseason aspirations. Detroit's offense was led by quarterback Jared Goff, who threw for 185 yards, while Jameson Williams emerged as a key target with 67 receiving yards. On the ground, the Lions found success with their rushing attack, complementing their passing game effectively. For the Packers, Jordan Love contributed a touchdown pass, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Lions' offensive efficiency. Defensively, Adoree' Jackson made a significant impact for the Lions with a crucial interception that shifted momentum in the second half. The Packers' defense, anchored by Edgerrin Cooper's nine tackles and Javon Hargrave's 1.5 sacks, kept the game close but ultimately could not contain the Lions when it mattered most. The turning point came late in the game when Jackson's interception thwarted a potential game-tying drive for Green Bay, allowing Detroit to hold on for the win.
