In a decisive Week 2 matchup of the 2027 season, the Seattle Seahawks topped the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 25-8. The victory not only boosts Seattle's early-season momentum but also puts the Vikings in a tough spot as they look to regroup following this setback. Jalen Milroe led the Seahawks' offensive charge, throwing for 219 yards and demonstrating poise under pressure. Complementing his efforts, Josh Jacobs carved through the Vikings' defense with 92 rushing yards, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba was a reliable target, finishing with 78 receiving yards. Together, they formed a potent trio that kept Minnesota on its heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Seahawks were strong, with Byron Murphy II standout on the pass rush, recording two sacks that disrupted Minnesota's offensive rhythm. Although the Vikings' James Pierre racked up seven tackles, it was Seattle's defensive pressure that proved pivotal, stifling any chance of a comeback. The turning point came in the second half when Murphy's second sack led to a crucial turnover, allowing the Seahawks to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win.
