In a dominating performance to kick off the 2026 season, the New York Giants defeated the Dallas Cowboys 28-7. With both teams eager to establish their identity early in the year, the Giants showcased their offensive prowess while the Cowboys struggled to find their rhythm. This victory sets a strong tone for New York as they look to build momentum in the coming weeks. Quarterback Jaxson Dart led the charge for the Giants, throwing for an impressive 269 yards and three touchdowns, solidifying himself as a key player in the season opener. Wide receiver Malik Nabers was a standout target, racking up 117 receiving yards and contributing significantly to the passing attack. Despite a modest rushing effort from Cam Skattebo, who only managed 17 yards, the Giants' passing game proved more than enough to secure the victory. Defensively, the Giants made crucial plays that turned the tide of the game, highlighted by an interception from Dru Phillips. While the Cowboys' defense had moments of resilience, including a sack from Kenny Clark, they were unable to stop the Giants' offensive momentum. The game’s turning point came in the second quarter when Dart connected with Nabers for a touchdown, shifting the momentum firmly in New York’s favor and allowing them to maintain control for the remainder of the contest.
