In a decisive Week 17 matchup, the New York Jets topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a score of 38-17, solidifying their playoff aspirations in the 2027 season. The Jets' impressive performance was crucial as they look to carry momentum into the postseason. Cade Klubnik was the star of the night, throwing for 378 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his prowess as the Jets' quarterback. Despite a modest rushing effort from Breece Hall, who managed 40 yards on the ground, the Jets' aerial attack proved to be too much for the Jaguars to handle. Meanwhile, Brian Thomas Jr. of Jacksonville stood out with 97 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Jets' offensive onslaught. On the defensive side, Minkah Fitzpatrick led the Jets with seven tackles, effectively disrupting Jacksonville's rhythm throughout the game. Joseph Ossai contributed with 1.5 sacks, applying consistent pressure on the Jaguars' quarterback. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Jets scored two quick touchdowns, creating a gap that the Jaguars could not overcome.
