In a decisive Week 6 showdown, the New York Jets topped the New England Patriots with an impressive 42-19 victory, further solidifying their position in the playoff race for the 2026 season. The Jets showcased their dominance, specifically against a struggling Patriots squad that has struggled to find its footing this season. Joe Milton led the charge for New York, throwing for two touchdowns while Braelon Allen was a force on the ground, racking up an astounding 203 rushing yards. The Jets' offense was relentless, leveraging both the passing and running game to keep the Patriots' defense on their heels throughout the contest. Meanwhile, Drake Maye put up numbers for New England with 245 passing yards, but it was not enough to mount a comeback. On the defensive side, Malachi Moore made his presence felt with a sack, but it was Matt Milano who stood out for the Patriots with five total tackles and an interception. The turning point came late in the second quarter when the Jets scored back-to-back touchdowns, stretching their lead to a commanding 28-10 at halftime. The Patriots struggled to respond, and the Jets maintained control for the remainder of the game, ultimately sealing their victory.
