In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the Seattle Seahawks topped the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 31-7, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. With this victory, the Seahawks solidified their position in the playoff race, while the 49ers struggled to find their footing this season. Sam Darnold led the Seahawks' offense with a steady performance, throwing for a touchdown while managing the game effectively. However, it was Jadarian Price who stole the show on the ground, racking up 115 rushing yards, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba's 103 receiving yards provided Darnold with a reliable target throughout the game. The offensive cohesion allowed Seattle to control the tempo and dictate the pace of play. Defensively, the Seahawks were relentless, led by Leonard Williams, who recorded 1.5 sacks, disrupting the 49ers' passing game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Seattle's defense forced a critical turnover, allowing the Seahawks to extend their lead and leave San Francisco struggling to catch up. With Fred Warner's eight tackles, the 49ers' offensive attempts were consistently thwarted, sealing the game for Seattle.
