In a commanding performance, the Houston Texans topped the Indianapolis Colts 23-9 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. With this victory, the Texans solidify their position in the playoff hunt, showcasing a balanced attack that kept their opponents on the back foot throughout the game. C.J. Stroud led the Texans' offense with 217 passing yards, demonstrating poise and precision in the pocket. Woody Marks added a crucial 76 rushing yards, contributing significantly to the ground game and helping to maintain offensive momentum. Although Daniel Jones of the Colts managed to throw a touchdown pass, it was not enough to keep pace with Houston’s offensive prowess. Defensively, the Texans were solid, but the turning point came when Laiatu Latu of the Colts recorded 2.5 sacks, applying pressure that forced Stroud into some difficult situations. However, the Colts struggled to capitalize on their defensive efforts, and Shaq Thompson's 10 tackles while impressive, could not compensate for their offensive shortcomings. The Texans' defense effectively contained the Colts, limiting their scoring opportunities and sealing the game with a dominant performance.
