In a decisive matchup, the Las Vegas Raiders defeated the San Francisco 49ers 20-3 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. This victory keeps the Raiders firmly in the playoff hunt while the 49ers struggle to find their footing in a competitive NFC West. Leading the charge for the Raiders was quarterback Fernando Mendoza, who threw for 109 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability to manage the game effectively. Running back Ashton Jeanty contributed with 40 rushing yards, providing much-needed support on the ground. Despite the 49ers' efforts, it was Mendoza's efficient play that ultimately propelled Las Vegas to victory. On the defensive side, the Raiders' Quay Walker stood out with a crucial interception, halting any momentum the 49ers attempted to build. The 49ers' Dre Greenlaw led the team with five tackles, but their inability to capitalize on opportunities was evident. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Mendoza connected with his receiver for a touchdown, putting the Raiders ahead and setting the tone for a dominant second half.
