In a decisive Week 9 matchup, the Los Angeles Rams topped the Washington Commanders with a final score of 32-21, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Rams showcased their offensive firepower, while the Commanders struggled to keep pace as the season reaches its critical juncture. Matthew Stafford was the star of the night, throwing for 356 yards and three touchdowns, effectively guiding the Rams' high-octane offense. Kyren Williams complemented Stafford's performance with 91 rushing yards, while Puka Nacua emerged as a standout receiver, racking up an impressive 173 yards through the air. The Rams' ability to stretch the field and sustain drives proved too much for the Commanders' defense. Defensively, the Rams made key plays to secure their victory, highlighted by an interception from Quentin Lake that shifted momentum. Although the Commanders' Sonny Styles led all defenders with ten tackles, the Rams' defensive unit was able to contain Washington's offense at critical moments, ensuring that Stafford and company could maintain their lead. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Lake's interception halted a promising drive, allowing the Rams to extend their advantage and ultimately seal the win.
