In a tightly contested matchup, the Pittsburgh Steelers narrowly defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 16-14 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. Both teams were fighting for momentum as they approached the halfway mark of the season, but it was Pittsburgh that came out on top, securing their position in the playoff race. Baker Mayfield showcased his arm with a solid performance, throwing for 263 yards and a touchdown for the Buccaneers. However, it was DK Metcalf who shined for the Steelers, racking up 112 receiving yards, providing crucial plays that helped Pittsburgh maintain their lead. The Steelers' offense was efficient enough to keep the scoreboard ticking, while Tampa Bay struggled to find the end zone consistently. Defensively, the Steelers made key plays that altered the game's trajectory. Patrick Queen led the charge with 12 total tackles, ensuring that the Buccaneers' offensive threats were kept at bay. A pivotal moment came when Jaquan Brisker intercepted Mayfield in the second half, effectively stifling a promising drive and shifting the momentum back to Pittsburgh, allowing them to hold off Tampa Bay for the win.
