In a thrilling Week 2 matchup, the Cleveland Browns narrowly defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 33-27, solidifying their early-season momentum. Both teams entered the game looking to establish themselves as contenders, but it was Cleveland that emerged victorious in this tightly contested battle. Deshaun Watson led the Browns' offensive charge, throwing for an impressive 311 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the game. KC Concepcion Jr. was his primary target, racking up 96 receiving yards, while Cleveland's balanced attack kept the Buccaneers' defense on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Buccaneers had some standout performances, particularly from Alex Anzalone, who recorded nine total tackles. However, it was a key interception by Zyon McCollum that shifted momentum in the second half, momentarily giving Tampa Bay hope. Ultimately, the Browns’ ability to maintain control and execute in crucial moments allowed them to hold off a late-game surge from the Buccaneers, sealing the victory.
