The Detroit Lions secured a thrilling 35-27 victory over the Buffalo Bills in a Week 2 matchup of the 2026 season. This high-stakes contest saw both teams battling for early dominance in the season, but it was the Lions who emerged triumphant in a crucial road win. Josh Allen had a standout performance for the Bills, throwing for an impressive 379 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his elite passing ability. However, it was the Lions' dynamic duo of Jahmyr Gibbs and Jameson Williams who stole the show. Gibbs rushed for 75 yards, while Williams dazzled with a staggering 209 receiving yards, making critical plays that kept the Lions' offense on the move. The Lions' defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, with Jack Campbell leading the charge with seven total tackles. Buffalo's Ed Oliver was disruptive, recording 2.5 sacks, but Detroit’s defense made crucial stops, particularly in the second half, which ultimately turned the tide. The Lions managed to hold off a late-game surge from the Bills, demonstrating resilience and securing their victory.
