In a decisive Week 1 matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars secured a 25-15 victory over the Cleveland Browns, kicking off the 2026 season with a strong showing. With both teams eager to set the tone for the year, Jacksonville's performance proved to be the difference-maker in this contest. Leading the charge for the Jaguars was quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who delivered an impressive performance with 294 passing yards and three touchdowns. Parker Washington was his top target, racking up 118 receiving yards, while Quinshon Judkins of the Browns led the ground game with 66 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Jacksonville's dynamic offense. Defensively, the Jaguars made their presence felt, with Shaq Thompson leading the team with seven tackles and Josh Hines-Allen contributing two sacks to pressure the Cleveland offense. The game's turning point came in the third quarter when Lawrence connected with Washington for a crucial touchdown, extending their lead and shifting momentum firmly in Jacksonville’s favor. The Browns struggled to respond, ultimately sealing their fate in this season opener.
