In a tightly contested matchup, the Buffalo Bills held off the Detroit Lions with a final score of 24-17, securing their second win of the season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the year, this victory was crucial for Buffalo as they aim to solidify their playoff aspirations. Josh Allen was the standout performer for the Bills, showcasing his dual-threat capabilities with 162 passing yards and an impressive 144 rushing yards. Meanwhile, DJ Moore made his presence felt in the passing game, leading all receivers with 76 yards. Jared Goff managed to throw one touchdown for the Lions, but it was Allen's dynamic performance that ultimately tilted the scales in Buffalo's favor. Defensively, the Lions struggled to contain Allen, who consistently found ways to exploit their coverage. Alim McNeill provided some pressure with a sack, but it was Jack Campbell's seven total tackles that highlighted Detroit's effort on that side of the ball. The game's turning point came in the fourth quarter when Allen's rushing ability led to a crucial touchdown, allowing the Bills to maintain their lead and seal the victory.
