The Jacksonville Jaguars secured a 23-14 victory over the Washington Commanders in a critical Week 17 matchup that solidified their playoff aspirations. With this win, Jacksonville not only improved their standing but also showcased their resilience as they look to make a deep postseason run. Trevor Lawrence led the charge for the Jaguars, throwing for 220 yards and efficiently managing the game. On the other side, Jayden Daniels found the end zone once, but it was Stefon Diggs who made the biggest impact on the ground for Washington, racking up 86 rushing yards. Meanwhile, Jack Bech was a reliable target for Lawrence, contributing 72 receiving yards to the Jaguars’ offensive efforts. Defensively, while there were no standout individual performances for Jacksonville, Washington's Leo Chenal was everywhere on the field, leading his team with eight total tackles. The turning point of the game came in the second half when the Jaguars' defense tightened up, stifling any momentum the Commanders tried to build. With Jer'Zhan Newton adding two sacks to his name, the Jaguars' defense proved to be a formidable wall, helping to seal the victory.
