In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions topped the New York Giants 38-6 in Week 16 of the 2026 season. With playoff positioning on the line, the Lions delivered a statement win that solidified their credentials as a formidable contender. Jared Goff led the charge for Detroit, throwing for 218 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his accuracy and poise under pressure. Isiah Pacheco contributed on the ground with 57 rushing yards, while Jameson Williams was a standout in the air, racking up 76 receiving yards and proving to be Goff's go-to target throughout the game. Defensively, the Lions made their mark with a key interception from Brian Branch that shifted momentum in their favor. Though Chuck Clark recorded half a sack, it was the overall pressure and discipline of the Lions' defense that stifled the Giants' offense and sealed the game. The turning point came early in the second half when Branch's interception led to a quick touchdown, effectively putting the game out of reach for New York.
