In a tightly contested matchup, the Pittsburgh Steelers narrowly defeated the Carolina Panthers 13-10 in Week 16 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but the Steelers ultimately came out on top, solidifying their position in the postseason race. Pittsburgh’s offensive leader was Aaron Rodgers, who threw for 129 yards, while Rico Dowdle contributed significantly on the ground with 41 rushing yards. The Panthers’ Bryce Young managed to find the end zone once, but his performance fell short of igniting a full offensive surge. Carolina’s Tetairoa McMillan was a bright spot for the Panthers, racking up 67 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Steelers' defense. Defensively, the Steelers were led by Cam Heyward, who recorded a key sack that disrupted the Panthers' rhythm during crucial moments. The turning point of the game came in the fourth quarter when the Steelers' defense held strong, forcing a turnover on downs that allowed Pittsburgh to maintain their slim lead. With both teams battling fiercely, it was the Steelers' ability to step up defensively that ultimately secured their victory.
