In a gritty matchup that showcased defensive prowess, the New England Patriots bested the Detroit Lions with a final score of 15-5 in Week 10 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high as both teams sought to solidify their playoff positions, but it was the Patriots who emerged victorious in a game dominated by defensive play. Offensively, the Patriots relied on a balanced attack, with Drake Maye throwing for one touchdown and TreVeyon Henderson leading the ground game with 79 rushing yards. Jared Goff of the Lions put up impressive numbers, amassing 212 passing yards, but he struggled to find the end zone, leaving Detroit's offense stifled throughout the contest. Isaac TeSlaa was a bright spot for the Lions, racking up 84 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to shift the game in their favor. Defensively, the Patriots were relentless, with Robert Spillane leading the team with nine total tackles and Harold Landry III contributing significantly with 1.5 sacks. The turning point came late in the second half when Landry's pressure forced Goff into a critical interception, effectively sealing the game for New England. The Lions' inability to capitalize on their offensive opportunities, coupled with the Patriots' defensive dominance, ultimately dictated the outcome of this tightly contested battle.
