In a commanding performance, the New Orleans Saints topped the Cleveland Browns 43-27 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. The victory keeps the Saints firmly in the playoff hunt, while the Browns will need to regroup as they aim to turn their season around. Tyler Shough led the Saints' offense with precision, throwing for two touchdowns and helping New Orleans establish a potent aerial attack. Shedeur Sanders of the Browns also had a strong outing, racking up 355 passing yards, but it was Jerry Jeudy who shined on the receiving end, amassing 166 yards despite the loss. Meanwhile, Travis Etienne Jr. added a crucial 87 rushing yards, contributing significantly to the Saints' offensive rhythm. Defensively, the Saints were a force to be reckoned with, highlighted by Danny Stutsman's 11 total tackles, which underscored their ability to stifle the Browns' attempts to mount a comeback. The turning point came when Justin Reid intercepted a pass from Sanders, halting Cleveland's momentum and allowing New Orleans to extend their lead. With Vernon Broughton adding a sack, the Saints' defense played a pivotal role in securing this vital victory.
