In a decisive Week 7 matchup, the Houston Texans topped the New York Giants with a commanding final score of 31-10. This victory not only boosts the Texans' momentum as the season progresses but also serves as a significant setback for the Giants, who struggled to find their rhythm on both sides of the ball. C.J. Stroud led the Texans' offense with a stellar performance, throwing for two touchdowns and effectively managing the game. Meanwhile, David Montgomery put on a show on the ground, racking up an impressive 169 rushing yards, consistently breaking tackles and keeping the Giants' defense on its heels. The Giants' Jaxson Dart managed just 91 passing yards, highlighting the struggles of their aerial attack. Defensively, the Texans were able to contain the Giants effectively, with Reed Blankenship snagging an interception to halt any potential momentum. The turning point came in the second quarter when Montgomery broke free for a long touchdown run, extending the Texans' lead and effectively putting the game out of reach for the struggling Giants. Overall, the Texans' defensive pressure, combined with their offensive prowess, sealed a well-deserved victory.
