In a Week 3 matchup of the 2026 season, the New England Patriots topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 33-20. This victory solidifies the Patriots' position early in the season, showcasing their offensive firepower and strategic prowess against a formidable opponent. Drake Maye led the Patriots' offense with two touchdown passes, while TreVeyon Henderson dominated the ground game with 108 rushing yards, consistently breaking through the Jaguars' defense. Trevor Lawrence, despite his impressive 335 passing yards, could not match Maye’s efficiency, and the Patriots effectively capitalized on key opportunities to build their lead. Defensively, the Patriots made crucial plays that shifted momentum in their favor. Craig Woodson's interception was a turning point, halting a potential scoring drive from the Jaguars and allowing New England to extend their lead. Harold Landry III added pressure with a sack, contributing to a defensive performance that ultimately secured the victory for the Patriots.
