In a thrilling matchup in Week 3 of the 2026 season, the Houston Texans topped the Indianapolis Colts with a final score of 39-27. Both teams were vying for an early-season advantage, but it was the Texans who pulled ahead, solidifying their standing in the division. C.J. Stroud led the Texans' offense, throwing for 180 yards and showcasing his ability to manage the game effectively. Meanwhile, David Montgomery was a force on the ground, racking up 96 rushing yards and providing a strong complement to the passing game. On the other side, Anthony Richardson Sr. put up an impressive performance for the Colts, tossing three touchdown passes, but it ultimately wasn’t enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Texans made crucial plays that shifted momentum. Kamari Lassiter's interception was a pivotal moment, halting a potential scoring drive from the Colts and allowing Houston to extend their lead. Despite solid efforts from Indianapolis' Jaylon Carlies and JT Tuimoloau, the Texans' defense stepped up when it mattered most, sealing the victory and keeping their playoff hopes alive.
