In a commanding performance, the Tennessee Titans topped the New York Jets 36-13 in Week 1 of the 2026 season. The win marks a strong start for the Titans as they look to establish themselves early in the season, while the Jets will need to regroup quickly after a disappointing opening matchup. Quarterback Cam Ward led the charge for Tennessee, throwing for 313 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers. Carnell Tate emerged as his favorite target, racking up 93 receiving yards to help the Titans maintain offensive momentum. The Titans' ground game was less prominent, but the passing attack proved more than sufficient to secure the victory. Defensively, the Jets struggled to contain the Titans' offensive onslaught, but linebacker David Bailey delivered a standout performance with 3.5 sacks, making him a disruptive force throughout the game. However, the turning point came in the second quarter when Ward threw a touchdown pass that shifted the momentum firmly in Tennessee's favor, leading to a dominant second half that left the Jets scrambling for answers.
