In a thrilling Week 18 showdown, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Las Vegas Raiders 28-20, solidifying their playoff positioning as the regular season comes to a close. Both teams entered the game with high stakes, looking to secure momentum heading into the postseason, but it was Kansas City that emerged victorious. The offensive fireworks were ignited by Patrick Mahomes, who threw for three touchdowns, showcasing his elite playmaking ability. Kenneth Walker added a powerful ground game, rushing for 101 yards, while Fernando Mendoza kept the Raiders competitive with 228 passing yards and a standout performance from Terry McLaurin, who racked up 115 receiving yards. The Chiefs' balanced attack proved too much for Las Vegas to handle. Defensively, the Chiefs made crucial stops at key moments, highlighted by L'Jarius Sneed’s interception that shifted the momentum in their favor. Ashton Gillotte was a force in the backfield, recording 1.5 sacks that pressured Mendoza into critical mistakes. The turning point came late in the second half when Sneed's pick set up another touchdown, allowing Kansas City to maintain their lead and ultimately secure the win.
