In a decisive Week 9 matchup, the Cincinnati Bengals topped the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 35-22, solidifying their playoff aspirations in the 2026 season. The Bengals showcased their offensive firepower, while the Falcons struggled to keep pace, making this an essential win for Cincinnati in their quest for postseason positioning. Leading the charge for the Bengals was quarterback Joe Burrow, who threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns, demonstrating his elite skill and command of the offense. Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was a significant weapon, racking up 122 receiving yards and providing Burrow with a reliable target throughout the contest. Despite Atlanta's Bijan Robinson contributing 55 rushing yards, the Falcons' offense could not find the rhythm needed to threaten the Bengals. Defensively, Cashius Howell was a standout for Cincinnati, recording 2.5 sacks that disrupted Atlanta's offensive flow and put pressure on their quarterback. This defensive effort was crucial in turning the tide of the game, particularly during a pivotal stretch in the second half when Howell's relentless pursuit led to a key turnover on downs. A.J. Terrell Jr. kept the Falcons in the game with two interceptions, but it was not enough to overcome the Bengals' offensive onslaught.
