The Kansas City Chiefs topped the Las Vegas Raiders 42-21 in a decisive Week 18 matchup that secured their playoff positioning. With both teams vying for critical momentum heading into the postseason, the Chiefs showcased their dominance in front of their home crowd. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes led the charge with two touchdown passes, while running back Kenneth Walker added a stellar performance on the ground, rushing for 108 yards. For the Raiders, Fernando Mendoza threw for an impressive 343 yards and found CeeDee Lamb, who racked up 138 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Chiefs' explosive offense. Defensively, the Chiefs made their mark with a standout performance from Chamarri Conner, who recorded six tackles, while R Mason Thomas delivered with two sacks. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Mansoor Delane intercepted Mendoza not once, but twice, shifting the momentum firmly in Kansas City's favor and allowing them to build an insurmountable lead.
