In a stunning display of offensive firepower, the Jacksonville Jaguars defeated the Dallas Cowboys 77-35 in Week 16 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Jaguars showcased their dominance, solidifying their position as a formidable contender. Trevor Lawrence had a record-breaking night, throwing for an astonishing 559 yards and connecting for eight touchdown passes. His connection with Brian Thomas Jr. was particularly lethal, as Thomas racked up 194 receiving yards, proving to be a constant threat downfield. Meanwhile, Ashton Jeanty of the Cowboys made headlines with a remarkable 307 rushing yards, but his efforts weren’t enough to keep pace with Jacksonville's explosive offense. Defensively, the Jaguars made their presence felt with key contributions, including two sacks from Josh Hines-Allen and two interceptions by Foyesade Oluokun. The game’s turning point came in the second quarter when the Jaguars forced a turnover that led to a quick touchdown, shifting momentum firmly in their favor. Caleb Ransaw's seven tackles helped to stifle any hopes of a Cowboys comeback, underscoring Jacksonville's balanced attack on both sides of the ball.
