In a tightly contested matchup, the San Francisco 49ers held off the Los Angeles Rams with a final score of 24-18, solidifying their playoff positioning in Week 14 of the 2026 season. The 49ers showcased their resilience as they faced a formidable Rams squad, making this win crucial for their postseason aspirations. Brock Purdy was the standout performer for San Francisco, throwing for three touchdowns and helping to orchestrate a well-balanced offense. Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford of the Rams put up impressive numbers with 276 passing yards, but couldn't quite match Purdy's efficiency. Davante Adams also shined with 111 receiving yards, providing a reliable target for Stafford throughout the game. Defensively, the 49ers made critical plays that impacted the outcome, particularly Fred Warner's key interception that halted a promising Rams drive in the second half. Renardo Green led the defense with seven total tackles, ensuring that the Rams' rushing attack was stifled. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the 49ers' defense held strong, allowing them to secure the victory and maintain their momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
