In a thrilling Week 9 showdown, the Baltimore Ravens topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 45-35, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the season approaches its midpoint. The victory was crucial for Baltimore, who aimed to maintain momentum in a competitive AFC. Trevor Lawrence put on a spectacular offensive display for the Jaguars, throwing for 460 yards and four touchdowns, while Brian Thomas Jr. emerged as his favorite target, racking up 133 receiving yards. However, it was Derrick Henry's powerful ground game that helped the Ravens control the tempo, as he rushed for 110 yards, showcasing his dominance and ability to move the chains effectively. Defensively, the Ravens made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor. Trey Hendrickson's two sacks were instrumental in disrupting Lawrence's rhythm, while Kyle Hamilton led the defense in tackles, contributing to a performance that stifled the Jaguars' comeback attempts. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Baltimore's defense held strong in the red zone, forcing Jacksonville to settle for a field goal instead of a touchdown, ultimately sealing their victory.
