In a commanding performance, the New England Patriots topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 49-14 in Week 3 of the 2026 season, showcasing their offensive prowess and solidifying their standing in the league. The stakes were high for both teams, with the Patriots aiming to maintain momentum and the Jaguars desperate for a turnaround after a rocky start. Drake Maye led the charge for New England, throwing an impressive five touchdown passes while accumulating 239 passing yards. TreVeyon Henderson dominated on the ground, rushing for 120 yards, and A.J. Brown was the go-to target, reeling in 78 receiving yards. This potent offensive display was too much for the Jaguars to handle, as they struggled to contain the Patriots' multifaceted attack. Defensively, the Patriots also made their mark, with Milton Williams recording a sack and Erick Hunter snagging an interception, further stifling any chances of a Jaguars comeback. The turning point came midway through the second quarter when Maye tossed three consecutive touchdown passes, effectively putting the game out of reach. The Jaguars’ defense could not respond, leading to a lopsided defeat that highlighted the Patriots' dominance on both sides of the ball.
