The Tennessee Titans secured a convincing 20-7 victory over the Houston Texans in Week 3 of the 2027 season, solidifying their claim in the AFC South. With both teams looking to establish momentum early, this matchup proved crucial for divisional standings as the Titans aimed to build on their early-season success. Quarterback Kevin Jennings led the Titans’ offense with a solid performance, throwing for 185 yards and a touchdown. He connected frequently with Nyck Harbor, who notched 69 receiving yards, helping to keep the chains moving. Meanwhile, Ashton Jeanty provided a spark for the Texans with 92 rushing yards, but it was not enough to overcome the Titans’ offensive efficiency. Defensively, the Titans were led by Mike Green, who recorded a game-high seven tackles, helping to stifle any potential scoring drives from Houston. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Jennings orchestrated a crucial touchdown drive, giving the Titans a lead they would not relinquish. Despite a strong effort from Romello Height, who tallied a sack for the Texans, the Titans' defense proved too stout, allowing them to hold off the Texans for the victory.
