In a tightly contested matchup, the Buffalo Bills held off the Houston Texans with a final score of 24-18, improving their season record to 3-1. The stakes were high as both teams sought to gain momentum early in the 2027 season, but it was the Bills who emerged victorious at home. Dak Prescott showcased his passing prowess for the Texans, throwing for 257 yards and two touchdowns, with Jerry Jeudy proving to be his top target, racking up 137 receiving yards. However, it was Bucky Irving's steady performance on the ground, accumulating 64 rushing yards, that helped the Bills maintain their offensive rhythm and control the game. On the defensive side, Mike Sainristil led the Bills with eight total tackles, contributing significantly to limiting the Texans' offensive opportunities. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Rasheem Biles registered a crucial sack, which shifted momentum and allowed the Bills to regain possession, ultimately sealing the win for Buffalo.
