In a decisive Week 15 showdown, the Washington Commanders topped the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 38-13, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the season winds down. The Commanders showcased their dominance on both sides of the ball, making a strong statement heading into the final stretch. Jayden Daniels led the charge for Washington, throwing for 228 yards and two touchdowns, effectively spreading the ball around and keeping the Falcons’ defense on its heels. Running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt added a solid 72 rushing yards, complementing the passing attack, while Terry McLaurin emerged as the top target, racking up 77 receiving yards to help secure the Commanders' victory. On the defensive front, while the Falcons struggled to contain Washington's offensive output, they did see standout performances from Kendal Daniels, who recorded 1.5 sacks, and Mike Hughes, with seven total tackles. However, it was the Commanders’ ability to capitalize on key opportunities that shifted the momentum, with a pivotal interception in the second half that stifled any chance of a Falcons comeback. Ultimately, Washington's balanced offense and opportunistic defense proved too much for Atlanta to handle.
