In a thrilling Week 3 matchup, the Indianapolis Colts narrowly defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-28, solidifying their position in the early part of the 2027 season. Both teams entered the contest looking to establish momentum, but it was the Colts who emerged victorious in a game that showcased high-stakes play. Trevor Lawrence put on a show for the Jaguars, throwing for an impressive 294 yards and three touchdowns, but it was Saquon Barkley who stole the spotlight for Indianapolis. Barkley dominated the ground game with 133 rushing yards and added to his impact by hauling in 96 receiving yards, proving to be a dual-threat that the Jaguars struggled to contain throughout the game. Defensively, Chidobe Awuzie led the Colts with five total tackles and a key sack, helping to stifle Jacksonville's late-game efforts. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter, as Caleb Ransaw of the Jaguars intercepted a pass, giving his team a glimmer of hope, but ultimately, it was the Colts' defense that held firm when it mattered most, sealing the victory and sending Indianapolis home with a hard-fought win.
