In a tightly contested matchup, the New England Patriots topped the Green Bay Packers 16-6 in Week 9 of the 2026 season. With postseason implications on the line, both teams came into this game looking to solidify their playoff hopes, but it was the Patriots who emerged victorious on their home turf. Drake Maye led the way for New England, throwing for 205 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his command of the offense. TreVeyon Henderson was a key contributor on the ground, racking up 95 rushing yards to keep the chains moving. Meanwhile, Christian Watson stood out for the Packers with 82 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback. Defensively, the Patriots made their mark with a strong performance, highlighted by Harold Landry III, who recorded 1.5 sacks. The turning point came in the second half when Landry’s pressure forced a critical turnover, allowing New England to extend their lead. Although Edgerrin Cooper led all defenders with 10 tackles for Green Bay, the Patriots' defense proved too formidable, ultimately sealing the victory.
