In a decisive matchup, the Los Angeles Chargers topped the Kansas City Chiefs 29-17 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for critical conference positioning, the Chargers' victory solidifies their standing as a playoff contender. Justin Herbert led the charge for the Chargers, throwing for 273 yards and three touchdown passes, showcasing his precision and playmaking ability. Brenen Thompson was a standout receiver, racking up 117 yards, while Trey Benson contributed on the ground with 62 rushing yards, providing a balanced offensive attack that kept the Chiefs' defense on their heels. The Chargers' defense played a pivotal role, highlighted by Justin Eboigbe's 1.5 sacks, which disrupted Kansas City's rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Herbert connected on a crucial touchdown pass, extending their lead and putting the Chiefs in a position where they had to play catch-up. Despite a strong effort from Kansas City, including Mansoor Delane's eight tackles, it wasn't enough to overcome the Chargers' dynamic performance.
