In a commanding performance, the Minnesota Vikings toppled the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 40-12 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. The Vikings aimed to solidify their early-season dominance, and they certainly delivered on that front against a struggling Buccaneers squad. Kyler Murray led the charge for Minnesota, throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his dual-threat capabilities. Demond Claiborne added a stellar rushing performance with 110 yards on the ground, while T.J. Hockenson was the top target in the passing game, accumulating 91 receiving yards. Together, they propelled the Vikings to a decisive offensive showcase. Defensively, the Vikings were equally impressive, with Andrew Van Ginkel recording two sacks that disrupted the Buccaneers' rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came early in the second half when the Vikings' defense forced a turnover, leading to a quick touchdown that put the game out of reach for Tampa Bay. Despite Josiah Trotter's five tackles and an interception for the Buccaneers, they were unable to contain Minnesota's potent attack.
