In a thrilling matchup in Week 3 of the 2026 season, the New England Patriots held off the Jacksonville Jaguars, securing a 24-21 victory. Both teams were looking to gain momentum early in the season, but it was the Patriots who came out on top in a tightly contested battle. Drake Maye was the standout for New England, throwing for 260 yards and tossing three touchdown passes to lead his team. TreVeyon Henderson contributed significantly on the ground with 64 rushing yards, while Kyle Williams was the top target in the air, racking up 78 receiving yards. The Patriots' offensive cohesion proved crucial in their ability to maintain a lead throughout the game. Defensively, the Jaguars struggled to contain Maye, but Caleb Ransaw's four total tackles provided some stability. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Patriots' defense held strong, allowing just enough time for Maye to engineer a game-winning drive. Travon Walker's sack was a highlight for Jacksonville, but it wasn't enough to shift the momentum, as New England's resilience ultimately secured their victory.
