In a thrilling Week 2 matchup of the 2028 season, the Las Vegas Raiders narrowly defeated the Houston Texans, 31-28, showcasing their ability to capitalize on key moments. Both teams entered the game looking to build momentum, but it was the Raiders who emerged victorious with a crucial win at home. Las Vegas quarterback Arch Manning led the charge with a stellar performance, throwing for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Ashton Jeanty provided a powerful ground game, racking up 135 rushing yards that helped keep the Texans' defense off-balance. Jaylin Noel stood out for Houston with 97 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Raiders' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Texans struggled to contain the Raiders' playmakers, allowing them to convert critical third downs. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Manning threw a touchdown pass that gave Las Vegas a lead they would not relinquish. Despite a valiant effort from Houston's defense, highlighted by Quentin Lake's five tackles and Kordell Woodward's interception, it was the Raiders' resilience that sealed the win.
