In a tightly contested matchup, the Minnesota Vikings topped the New Orleans Saints 23-17 in Week 3 of the 2028 season. With both teams vying for early-season momentum, this victory solidifies Minnesota's position in the playoff race, while the Saints are left to regroup after a hard-fought battle. Cade Klubnik showcased his skills under center for New Orleans, throwing for 296 yards and two touchdowns, making him the standout offensive performer of the game. Despite his efforts, Jahmyr Gibbs added 78 rushing yards, but it was Rondale Moore of the Vikings who stole the spotlight with a remarkable 115 receiving yards, contributing significantly to Minnesota’s offensive success. Defensively, Taurean York led the Vikings with 15 total tackles, playing a key role in stifling the Saints' offensive drives. The turning point came when Kelee Ringo intercepted a pass from Klubnik, halting a potential scoring drive and allowing Minnesota to maintain their lead late in the game. With Rashan Gary adding a sack for New Orleans, the defenses made their presence felt, but it was the Vikings' ability to capitalize on critical moments that ultimately secured their win.
