In a tightly contested matchup, the Arizona Cardinals held off the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 24-19 in Week 9 of the 2028 season. This victory was crucial for the Cardinals as they continue to position themselves for a playoff run, while the Falcons are left searching for answers as they slip further in the standings. Kyler Murray led the way for Arizona, throwing for 251 yards and effectively managing the game. Trey Benson added a solid ground attack with 69 rushing yards, while the Falcons' Bryce Underwood made a strong showing with two touchdown passes despite the loss. Parker Washington was the standout receiver for Atlanta, racking up 85 yards and keeping his team competitive throughout the game. Defensively, the Falcons were aggressive, with Azeez Al-Shaair leading the charge with 10 total tackles and Jalon Walker contributing significantly with 2.5 sacks. However, the game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Cardinals' defense made a critical stop, forcing a turnover on downs that sealed the win. Divine Deablo also added an interception for Atlanta, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Cardinals' resilient performance.
