The Minnesota Vikings held off the Houston Texans with a final score of 27-21 in a tightly contested Week 11 matchup of the 2028 season. With playoff implications on the line, the Vikings showcased their resilience and ability to capitalize on key moments to secure the victory. J.J. McCarthy led the way for Minnesota, throwing for 287 yards and connecting with Justin Jefferson, who racked up 111 receiving yards. Jordan Mason added balance to the offense with 68 rushing yards, helping the Vikings maintain a steady attack throughout the game. Meanwhile, C.J. Stroud of the Texans threw two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to overcome Minnesota's offensive firepower. Defensively, the Vikings made crucial plays at pivotal moments, particularly from Deonte Banks, who intercepted two passes to swing momentum in favor of Minnesota. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Banks' second interception halted a promising Texans drive, allowing the Vikings to maintain their lead and ultimately seal the win. Houston's Will Anderson Jr. was impressive with 3.5 sacks, but it was the Vikings' timely defensive stands that ultimately decided the game.
