The Tennessee Titans topped the Houston Texans 31-20 in a crucial Week 16 matchup that solidified their playoff positioning. With both teams vying for postseason contention, this victory was vital for the Titans as they look to secure a favorable seed heading into the final stretch of the season. C.J. Stroud of the Texans showcased his arm strength, throwing for 217 yards and two touchdowns, keeping Houston competitive throughout the game. However, it was Josh Jacobs who stole the show on the ground for Tennessee, racking up 104 rushing yards, allowing the Titans to control the pace of the game. The Titans' balanced offensive attack proved too much for the Texans to handle. Defensively, the Titans made their mark with Edgerrin Cooper leading the way with eight total tackles, while Oluwafemi Oladejo contributed with a crucial sack. The turning point came late in the third quarter when the Titans' defense stifled a Texans' drive, forcing a turnover on downs. This momentum shift allowed Tennessee to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win.
